Symbolism in art:

Animals:
The Crocodile: Represents Leadership
The Dove: Represents Peace
The Butterfly: Represents Change and Transformation
The Monkey: Represents Malice, Lust, and Greed
Poses:
Statant: The animal is standing on all four legs
Guardant: The animals body is facing sideways but its head is toward the viewer
Couchant: The Animal is lying down on all fours
Rampant: The Animal is standing on two legs with the other two in the air

The Lion was a common animal that was used on many coats of arms during the medieval era.
It was often used by people of royalty and the people fighting for them
The lion represents Courage and strength

Lamb:

The lamb is commonly used in Christian art and represents jesus Christ as “the Lamb of god
